I always had trouble understanding time traveling.
I mean, if you were kidnapped at age 4 and spent 20 years or more in some other place,
it means your parents were left without you all this time.
And if you were brought back 15 min. after kidnapping,
then they lived again those 20 years or so, but with you this time.
How is this possible?
It is known that any action, no matter how insignificant, changes everything in the whole world.
So if one event, like your kidnapping, produces one flow of events,
then your return produces another flow.
Like we all live parallel lives and don't know about them?

People over-complicate time travel. Most of us don't affect the future of anyone other than ourselves. None of us want to think that, but it's still the truth. Humans affect the future as a whole, not as individuals. There are occasional individuals who do change things, but they are the exception rather than the rule.

When I was taken, nothing obvious changed here because I was brought back with time travel. It would have stayed that way if the NSA had not chosen to activate my memory in April 2013. If I had retained my memories in 1959, THAT would have changed a lot.

Everything I did in the loop, stayed in the loop. The only change now is because the memories were reactivated.

While in Las Vegas visiting friends, my hostess rented the Marvel movie Avengers. There is a scene where Iron Man explains how time travel works and he got it exactly correct. Let me see if I can find that on Youtube.
